"Critique 'Julie & Julia' as if you were a movie blogwriter"
"Julie & Julia" was a heartwarming movie that tells the stories of two cooks/writers , Julie Powell and Julia Child. The movie moves back and forth between Julia's beginning career as a cook and Julie's struggle to finish Julia's cook book. They both face similar difficulties along their paths. This movie gives a great look from both sides of the story. It doesn't focus more on one of the women than the other. I personally thought it was a big thumbs up and I say that if you haven't seen this movie yet, GO SEE IT! Even if you're not interested at all by cooking or writing, like me, I still think that anyone with a heart will love this movie.

"Julie & Julia" - Invest in yourself
Julia invested her time into cooking. She took classes to become a professional and invested her time and money to become a great cook. As a result of her hard work and dedication, she became one of the best known chiefs. She also did this by investing her time in writing a book.
How are the concepts you are currently learning about in class/school reflected in the movie Julie & Julia?
We are learning how to use a blog. In "Julie & Julia", Julie uses a blog as a means to express herself. The blog becomes popular and she gets her name out there. Julia wrote a book about cooking, but Julie made a blog about cooking from her book.
Question 2: Do you think that you have to have your life completely figured out by the age of 30? Why or why not?
I do think that you have to have your life figured out by 30. Maybe not completely figured out, but for the most part, yeah. It's difficult to try to refigure your life at 30 or later.

Question 1: What are your interests, hobbies, and/or passions?
My biggest interest/hobby/passion is drumming. I have been drumming since I was 10 years old (I am now 17). I take lessons at White House of Music in Wauwatosa on North Ave., not far from Mayfair Mall. "Drumming is my lifestyle" is my well-known (not really) quote. It's the best way that I can describe my life. There is nothing in the world that I love more than drumming. It's the best way I can express myself, since I have no artistic talent or experience in any other instruments. I like to study drums and all types of genre. Usually, when I listen to music, I solely listen to the drums and instruments. This is why I don't enjoy rap and acoustic music very much, because they are mainly lyrical and not as much musical. This is also why I love instrumental music since the main focus is the instruments, giving much room for some great drumming!
I love everything about drumming. It's what I want to do with my life. Hopefully I can achieve that. Many people give up drumming at some point in their lives, but I know I'm going to always be a drummer. It may become difficult for me to practice at some point in my life, like during college when I don't have a place to play my drums. However, I will not ever give up. Notice how I didn't say "never give up." I don't ever say "never."

Jim Marshall
I chose Jim Marshall for my artist to research because he is a music photographer known for taken pictures of some of the biggest names in music during the 60's and 70's. Some of these famous musicians included Johnny Cash, The Who, and Willie Nelson. He also took many great photos at Woodstock.
I am planning on recreating some of his iconic photos. I may do this dressing up as some of the famous musicians he photographed and posing like they did in the pictures. I might even pose as some of those artists in one major picture. It would be like a big clash of fame!
